Boston Neighborhood Network is a nationally recognized, award-winning community media center and nonprofit organization which provides all Boston residents with affordable training & access to emerging media technologies.

Our Approach

When BNN first approached us, they were in the process of moving into their newly renovated state-of-the-art media center in Egleston Square in Boston. They needed to refresh their brand identity and promote their mission to connect, inform and empower Boston residents through distinct and diverse community media programming, education, and services.

Our creative approach was to design a network identity that revolves around a stylized and distinct graphic treatment that provides visual punctuation within the landscape of BNN's reality-based programming connecting Boston's neighborhoods and community through media. (2010 Emmy Award Winner) The design provided a cohesive look for their entire Network ID package which included Network ID Opens, Channel and Program IDs, Coming Up Next, Program Guides, Network, and Program Promos.

Our next step was to create a digital media toolbox that could be applied towards their marketing and programming initiatives and included the BNN website, VOD, TV Guide & Channels, Event and Media promotions, Print Design, Email blasts, and design templates. We also designed the WBCA logo for their new radio station and promotional materials for their Silver & 30th Anniversary events.

The Results

Since launching a new identity & website, BNN continues to elevate their online presence and brand, creating diverse and powerful programming, teaching members, covering live events, and attracting more viewership and engagement from the Boston neighborhood communities they serve. They have expanded their services to include a new radio station and have implemented new emerging HD digital technologies. Their media toolbox keeps the BNN visual brand intact and design templates for marketing, broadcast, and website use keep the flow of information and content moving 24/7. You can only get it @ BNN!
